About the role#
Michael Baker International is hiring Civil Engineering Interns for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on civil design and analysis for infrastructure projects. Depending on your interest and availability, you may work on roads, bridges, or drainage projects. This is a paid, full-time internship based in our Texas offices.
What you'll do#
- Perform civil design and analysis for infrastructure projects.
- Prepare basic studies, construction documents, and drawings.
- Create maps, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Complete engineering calculations.
- Learn company policies, software, and client standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Civil Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of coursework.
- 0 to 2 years of roadway or highway design experience.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing project priorities.
- Skill in building relationships with diverse groups of people.
- Proficiency in MicroStation and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
