About the role#
The Elevators and Escalators Division at New York City Transit maintains hundreds of elevators and escalators across the subway system. This internship focuses on supporting technical operations, improving data workflows, and enhancing internal communication systems. You will work directly with the team responsible for ensuring safe and reliable transit access for millions of daily riders.
What you'll do#
- Develop and publish content for the departmental SharePoint Communication Site.
- Design and implement forms, applications, and data dashboards to track project metrics.
- Build and maintain automated reporting systems using Power Automate to streamline data collection and reduce manual errors.
- Integrate Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate with existing databases to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide technical insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Update operational procedures and technical documentation.
- Conduct training sessions for maintainers and supervisors via Microsoft Teams.
- Prepare presentations for management and senior leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program (Computer Science, Business Administration, Data Science, Architecture, or Environmental Engineering) with at least a 2.5 GPA.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage tasks effectively under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- Authorization to work in the United States.

- Compensation: $19.00 per hour (Undergraduate).
