About the role#
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking an intern for the Department of Subways, Facilities Management division. This role focuses on project management, data analysis, and the development of facilities systems. You will assist in tracking strategic goals, monitoring performance indicators, and overseeing project development across departmental teams.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate and expedite project development within Facilities Management.
- Assist with departmental renovation projects.
- Conduct analyses, design and implement studies, and identify operational trends.
- Create and maintain project trackers, work order tickets, and status updates.
- Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources for use in dashboard environments.
- Design and build interactive dashboards using Power BI and Power Apps.
- Assist with system configuration, troubleshooting, and user training for EAM systems.
- Develop user guides and training documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Preferred majors include Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
