About the role#
The Family and Community Partnerships Intern supports the daily operations of Metro Nashville Public Schools. You will assist with student supervision, enrichment activities, and administrative logistics. This role provides hands-on experience in youth development and education while you help manage attendance, support teachers, and ensure a safe learning environment.
What you'll do#
- Help plan and run the Promising Scholars program and related initiatives.
- Communicate with schools, families, and community partners to keep everyone informed and engaged.
- Design and carry out strategies to help with student retention.
- Manage supply inventory and coordinate the distribution of materials to schools and families.
- Prepare program materials, presentations, and reports for various stakeholders.
- Work with staff to analyze data, track outcomes, and ensure the program meets grant and state requirements.
- Create graphics and social media content to share program updates and successes.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in a relevant field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for drafting documents and speaking with stakeholders.
- You need analytical skills to review, interpret, and visualize data using charts and tables.
- A high level of attention to detail is necessary for organizing and tracking documents and data.
- Experience working with children, in education, or in administrative roles is preferred.
