About the role#
As a Thermal Treat Maintenance Engineering Intern, you will work on-site at our Canton, Ohio facility during the summer of 2027. This full-time role focuses on applying classroom knowledge to industrial maintenance and reliability challenges. You will gain experience in a production environment while collaborating with maintenance, operations, and leadership teams.
What you'll do#
- Build a practical understanding of industrial mechanical and electrical systems by reviewing schematics and OEM documentation.
- Apply engineering problem solving to real equipment and reliability issues.
- Analyze how maintenance and engineering decisions influence safety, production uptime, and operating costs.
- Learn business fundamentals such as project planning, resource prioritization, and budgeting.
- Develop professional communication skills as you transition from academic theory to industrial application.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment at an accredited college or university.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Preferred majors include Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
