About the role#
The Power Distribution Intern will gain practical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment during the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Canton, Ohio. You will work directly with the electrical team to maintain system documentation, support reliability investigations, and analyze performance data.
What you'll do#
- Update electrical drawings and schematics, including one-line diagrams, distribution layouts, and control schematics.
- Observe and oversee annual Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) audits.
- Support investigations into service interruptions and equipment failures.
- Use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to map circuits and update the locations of poles, lines, transformers, and circuit breakers.
- Gather data on load demand, voltage levels, and equipment performance.
- Use software tools to analyze system performance trends and support reporting on outages, voltage deviations, and equipment efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Pursuit of a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
