About the role#
Metallus Inc. offers a full-time internship program for the Summer 2027 term. This program provides hands-on experience in a steel manufacturing environment, allowing students to develop professional skills through project work, networking opportunities, and career development workshops.
What you'll do#
- Gain experience in daily quality operations within a steel manufacturing facility.
- Contribute to 1 to 3 high-impact projects focused on defect reduction and process improvement.
- Support initiatives that enhance value-added steel manufacturing processes and operational performance.
- Develop practical problem-solving and quality management skills through real-world assignments.
What you'll need#
- Must be a full-time student at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
- Must have completed at least 30 credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Preferred majors include Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, or Mathematics.
