About the role#
As a Metallurgical Engineering Intern at Metallus Inc., you will work on-site in Canton, Ohio, during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid internship. You will join our team to gain practical experience in steel manufacturing and participate in career development workshops.
What you'll do#
- Work directly within daily quality operations in our steel manufacturing environment.
- Take on 1 to 3 projects focused on process improvement and defect reduction.
- Support initiatives that improve our value-added manufacturing processes.
- Build your problem-solving and quality management skills through real-world assignments.
What you'll need#
- You must be a full-time student at an accredited college or university.
- You need to have completed at least 30 credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required.
- We prefer students pursuing degrees in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, or Mathematics.
