About the role#
Metallus is hiring a Maintenance Engineering and Reliability Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Canton, Ohio. You will work within our manufacturing environment to gain experience in equipment maintenance and reliability processes while learning about steel production.
What you'll do#
- Assist with equipment design changes and manage equipment drawings.
- Review functional equipment failures to determine root causes.
- Evaluate preventive maintenance tasks.
- Help create and update job plans.
What you'll need#
- You must be a full-time student at an accredited college or university.
- You need to have completed at least 30 credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required.
- Preferred majors include Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD is required for this role.
