About the role#
This 11-week internship program is designed to build a foundation of retail knowledge and expose you to store leadership opportunities. You will spend the first half of the program learning core leadership competencies and retail operations. During the second half, you will step into an Intern Team Leader role to manage business results, team engagement, and the customer experience. This program serves as a pathway for students interested in long-term careers in store leadership.
What you'll do#
- Plan, direct, and supervise team members in daily store operations.
- Mentor and coach team members to help them reach sales goals and maintain store standards.
- Implement strategies to improve customer service and increase store sales.
- Maintain store appearance and ensure product presentation meets company standards.
- Communicate with customers and team members throughout the store to ensure quality service.
- Support your department in managing the P&L, controlling shrink, and achieving sales targets.
- Promote a safe work environment for everyone.
- Model fast and friendly service for customers and staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, specifically in Business Administration, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- A strong drive for results and a focus on customer needs.
- Experience in leadership roles through work or extracurricular activities is strongly preferred.
- Prior retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to analyze data.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
