About the role#
Meijer offers an 11-week internship program designed to give students hands-on experience in the retail technology sector. You will work on real projects across various IT departments, including Digital Solutions, Information Security, Enterprise Systems, Architecture, and Operations. This program includes professional development training, an executive speaker series, and networking events. You will conclude the summer by delivering a final presentation to senior executives.
What you'll do#
- Design, code, test, and ship software applications.
- Contribute to business analytics and reporting tasks.
- Perform configuration, integration, and process improvement for enterprise systems.
- Define enterprise solution architecture and manage the application portfolio.
- Manage business-critical components like network communications, cloud services, middleware, and data platforms.
- Work with cloud technologies, automation, and machine learning approaches.
- Deliver innovative solutions to business challenges.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A customer-focused mindset.
- Strong relationship-building skills to work effectively with team members and partners.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical work to both technical and non-technical audiences.
