About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship program lasting 10 to 11 weeks. Interns contribute to engineering projects across Research and Development, Operations, and Quality departments. You will work 40 hours per week as part of an intern cohort, gaining hands-on experience in medical technology development and manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Support the design, development, analysis, and testing of engineering solutions.
- Contribute to system integration, verification, validation, risk analysis, and data-driven evaluation efforts.
- Develop, apply, and maintain quality standards and protocols for materials and finished products.
- Design and support manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to ensure quality requirements and compliance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Computer, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Anticipated graduation date of Winter 2027, Spring 2028, Winter 2028, or Spring 2029.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Prior experience in engineering design, testing, manufacturing, quality, data analysis, or product development.
- Current authorization to work in the United States. Please note that Medtronic does not provide sponsorship for internship positions.
Location & details#
- Work Modality: This position is on-site at least 4 days per week.
- Locations: Opportunities are available across the United States, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Texas.
- Compensation: The hourly pay range for this position is $26.50 to $45.25.
