    About the role#

    McClure Engineering offers an 8 month Co-Op program for students pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. You will work under the supervision of experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience in MEP design and construction projects.

    What you'll do#

    • Design lighting, power distribution, and communication systems, including fire alarms.
    • Work with mechanical and electrical drafters to produce construction drawings and specifications.
    • Use engineering calculations across a variety of projects.
    • Assist in the design and development of electrical circuits.
    • Research equipment and select options that fit project or client requirements.
    • Solve technical problems during design and construction phases.
    • Perform field inspections to verify site conditions.
    • Communicate project details to stakeholders.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an ABET accredited B.S. program for Electrical Engineering.
    • Completion of your sophomore or junior year.
    • A cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

    • Location: St. Louis, Missouri.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Term: Rolling.
    • Schedule: Full-time.
    • Compensation: Paid position.
    • Field work: Approximately 10% of your time will be spent at project or construction sites. You will be required to wear safety gear, which is provided by the firm.
