    About the role#

    The Packaging Engineer Intern supports the team in the development, testing, and improvement of packaging systems for food manufacturing. You will gain hands-on experience with packaging materials, equipment, and project management while working directly within our production operations.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with the development and validation of packaging materials and formats.
    • Conduct package performance testing in a lab setting.
    • Collect, analyze, and report on packaging performance data.
    • Support packaging trials and line testing activities.
    • Investigate root causes for packaging defects and non-conforming materials.
    • Support sustainability initiatives through packaging waste reduction projects.
    • Review packaging specifications and technical drawings for accuracy.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a Bachelor Degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Mechanical aptitude and an interest in manufacturing equipment.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
    • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
