About the role#
Marvell is looking for a Data Science Intern to join the Compute and Custom Solutions organization. You will work with the Business Automation team to apply data science and AI to improve business processes. This internship focuses on transforming historical business data into predictive insights to help drive decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Clean and prepare historical business data, including fixing data quality issues and missing values.
- Analyze datasets to find trends, relationships, and outliers.
- Develop and train machine learning models using Python and libraries like pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
- Evaluate modeling approaches to assess accuracy and reliability.
- Document and present your methodology, findings, and recommendations to business stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with SQL for data manipulation.
- A strong foundation in statistics, exploratory data analysis, and machine learning fundamentals.
- Ability to communicate technical results to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with regression, classification, decision trees, random forests, or gradient boosting is preferred.
- Familiarity with modern techniques like LLM inference, embedding models, SVM, or XGBoost is a plus.
- Experience with Git and prior work with real-world datasets is preferred.

- Compensation: $29 to $57 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
