About the role#
This co-op internship provides hands-on experience within the Pet Nutrition packaging R&D team. You will work on real-world projects that impact our product portfolio while receiving mentorship and training. This is a paid, full-time position based on-site in Franklin, Tennessee, for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Lead and execute packaging innovation projects under the guidance of experienced associates.
- Perform sustainability assignments to support company goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, project management, finance, and marketing.
- Develop detailed packaging specifications.
- Initiate, coordinate, and execute line trials at co-manufacturers to confirm quality and performance.
- Coordinate the creation of high-quality prototypes to support team collaboration and consumer testing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program, such as Chemical Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
- A passion for engineering and the consumer products industry.
- An agile, curious, and collaborative mindset with a drive for results.
- Ability to build relationships and a strong desire to learn.
- You must be interning the summer prior to your final graduation date.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

- Requirements: You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the work site. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of drug and background screening.
