About the role#
The Sales Engineering Co-op program at Powerex-Iwata Air Technology Inc. offers a bridge between engineering and business. You will work alongside experienced sales professionals to learn how complex systems are specified, built, and supported. This role provides hands-on experience in territory management, customer support, and market development.
What you'll do#
- Support the sales team with quotation, submittal, and follow-up activities.
- Learn how to go to market through a distribution network.
- Participate in customer visits, sales calls, and training sessions with senior staff.
- Create product and application training materials and presentations.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and account tracking.
- Maintain and update customer and opportunity data in CRM systems.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a BS or BA degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Interest in technical or consultative sales and engineering products.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with engineers, contractors, and customers.
- Self-motivation and a willingness to take initiative.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Technical curiosity and a desire to learn.
- CRM exposure is a plus.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.
- The term for this role is Winter 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- Travel with sales professionals is required for customer visits and training events.
