About the role#
This co-op position offers engineering and business students a look at the intersection of technical sales and industrial systems. You will work alongside experienced sales professionals to learn how complex systems are specified, built, sold, and supported. This role is based on-site in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support the sales team with quotation, submittal, and follow-up activities.
- Learn how to go to market through a distribution network.
- Participate in customer visits, sales calls, and training sessions with senior staff.
- Assist in creating product and application training materials and presentations.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and account tracking.
- Maintain and update customer and opportunity data in CRM systems.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a BS or BA degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or Marketing.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Interest in technical or consultative sales and engineering-driven products.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with engineers, contractors, and customers.
- Self-motivation and a willingness to take initiative.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Technical curiosity.
- CRM exposure is a plus.
