About the role#
This internship program is a full-time, paid position based in Boston. It runs from May through August 2027. You will work within one of our actuarial departments, gaining exposure to areas such as pricing, valuation, modeling, risk management, and asset liability management. This is a hybrid role, requiring you to be in the office Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
What you'll do#
- Join an actuarial team for the duration of the summer.
- Meet with your manager and team to set work priorities.
- Complete projects focused on improving departmental efficiency.
- Present your project results and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Attend events featuring speakers from various departments to build your business knowledge.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- A strong GPA and a track record of success in coursework.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical team members.
- Familiarity with the Society of Actuaries (SOA) qualification process.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to work under deadlines.
