About the role#
This internship is part of the Infrastructure Equity team within Manulife Investment Management. You will support a global portfolio of fund and co-investments in sectors like renewable energy, utilities, transportation, and digital infrastructure. The team focuses on delivering long-term value for the Manulife general account. This role provides hands-on exposure to private markets and investment management.
What you'll do#
- Support due diligence and underwriting for fund and co-investment opportunities.
- Build financial models and analyze financial statements to assess investment performance.
- Assist in preparing investment memos and presentations for internal committees.
- Conduct research on global infrastructure themes and sectors.
- Help with portfolio monitoring, data aggregation, and performance tracking.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated interest in private markets, infrastructure, or investment management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with financial modeling and valuation techniques is preferred.
- Experience with data tools like Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or PowerBI is a plus.
- Prior internship or work experience in finance, consulting, or investment roles is an asset.
