About the role#
The Maintenance Intern provides administrative and purchasing support to help the maintenance team run smoothly. You will help process purchase requisitions, track orders, and manage parts inventory. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2026 based on-site in Olive Branch, Mississippi.
What you'll do#
- Create and submit purchase requisitions in SAP.
- Monitor the status of requisitions and follow up with approvers to ensure timely release.
- Coordinate with buyers to ensure purchase orders are created on schedule.
- Manage and track maintenance parts inventory levels.
- Set up and maintain maintenance part records in company systems.
- Communicate with vendors regarding order status and delivery schedules.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Industrial Maintenance or Industrial Electricity certifications are preferred.
- Previous experience in administrative support, purchasing, or inventory control is a plus.
- SAP experience or exposure to Warehouse Management Systems is helpful.
