About the role#

The Macy’s Technology Summer Internship Program offers students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting while exploring an engineering career. Interns work within an agile environment, contributing to projects that drive innovation and business impact while gaining exposure to the technologies supporting a national retail brand.

What you'll do#

• Work alongside mentors and experienced engineers in an agile environment.
• Contribute to defined projects that drive innovation and business impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and organizational leaders.
• Gain exposure to development areas including Software Development (Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Angular.js, Vue.js, React.js, SRE), Mobile Development (iOS, Swift, Android, SDK), Cloud Development (Azure, AWS, GCP), and Compute and Operations (Python, SQL, Unix/Linux).
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect to strengthen relationships with colleagues and the community.

What you'll need#

• Rising seniors majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Proficiency in programming languages (Java preferred), operating systems, and data processing to solve real-world challenges.
• Interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance problem-solving and business outcomes.
• Familiarity with Agile or similar methodologies for iterative development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, and the ability to take ownership of tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
