About the role#
The Store Management Internship Program provides exposure to the core functions of retail leadership, including customer service, merchandising, business analysis, operations, and human resources. This 8-week, full-time, paid internship runs from June 8 through August 1, 2026, and offers an opportunity to observe and participate in the daily operations of a multi-million-dollar retail department store.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales & Customer Experience to gain insights into leadership best practices.
- Shadow the Managers of Operations and Visual Merchandising to plan and execute product merchandising initiatives.
- Develop a customer-focused selling environment by coaching and developing a team of colleagues.
- Support daily store operations through the training and coaching of staff.
- Engage with leaders across various business functions within the store and region.
- Analyze business trends with partners to select merchandise that meets customer needs.
- Explore retail strategies through business analysis and propose new ideas for growth through a final project.
- Foster an environment of connection with colleagues, customers, and the community.
What you'll need#
- Current junior status, pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- A cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- All majors are considered, with interest in fields such as Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Communications, or Human Resources.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, talking, hearing, and using hands to handle or feel; occasional movement about the workplace and reaching is required.
- Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and a results-driven approach to problem-solving.
