Macy's 2026 Supply Chain Internship, Operations

About the role#

The 2026 Supply Chain Internship in Operations offers exposure to Macy’s end-to-end supply chain network. Based in a fulfillment center, this 8-week program focuses on the flow of products from suppliers to customers. Interns join the Process Engineering team to assist in streamlining operations and reducing waste within e-commerce distribution centers.

What you'll do#

• Collect and analyze data regarding workflow efficiency, labor utilization, and equipment performance.
• Support the development, testing, and implementation of process improvements in collaboration with engineers and operations staff.
• Document best practices using visual tools such as process maps and standard operating procedures.
• Utilize analytic tools, metrics, and key performance indicators to complete an internship project.
• Rotate through various supply chain functions and work directly with facility colleagues.
• Oversee the lifecycle of projects using strong program management skills.
• Foster professional relationships with interns, business leaders, and team members through workshops and networking.

What you'll need#

• Current status as a rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Excellent mathematical skills, including the ability to apply concepts of profitability and statistical inference.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence others and present findings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables and macros) considered a plus.
• Ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and maintain high attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting at least 30 lbs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and remaining in a stationary position for extended periods.
