Macy's 2026 Supply Chain Internship, Operations

About the role#

The Supply Chain Internship provides exposure to the Macy’s end-to-end supply chain network. Interns work within a fulfillment center, supporting the Process Engineering team to streamline operations and reduce waste in e-commerce distribution. This is a paid, full-time, 8-week summer program based on-site in Goodyear, Arizona.

What you'll do#

• Collect and analyze data regarding workflow efficiency, labor utilization, and equipment performance.
• Support the development, testing, and implementation of process improvements in collaboration with engineers and operations staff.
• Document best practices using visual tools, such as process maps and standard operating procedures.
• Utilize analytic tools and key performance indicators to complete an internship project and support business recommendations.
• Gain experience with warehouse, transportation, and order management systems.
• Rotate through various functions of the supply chain facility and participate in professional development workshops.

What you'll need#

• Rising senior status pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to apply statistical inference and concepts of profitability to practical situations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including vlookup, pivot tables, and macros) is preferred.
• Ability to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and streamline organizational processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence others.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting at least 30 lbs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and remaining in a stationary position for at least two hours.
