About the role#
The Store Management Internship Program is an 8-week, paid, on-site program designed to provide exposure to all facets of leading a retail store. Interns will gain experience in customer service, merchandising, business analysis, operations, and colleague development. You will work within a multi-million-dollar retail environment, learning the strategies and partnerships required to drive business success.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales & Customer Experience to gain insights into leadership best practices and receive constructive feedback.
- Shadow the Managers of Operations and Visual Merchandising to plan and execute merchandising initiatives.
- Analyze business trends with partners to select merchandise that meets customer needs.
- Support daily store operations by training and coaching colleagues.
- Engage with leaders across store and regional business functions to broaden your perspective.
- Contribute to a performance-driven team that values collaboration and continuous skill development.
- Complete a project and presentation, consulting with store leadership to propose business growth strategies.
What you'll need#
- Status as a rising senior enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program with one year remaining and a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Relevant majors include Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, and Psychology.
- Ability to inspire, coach, and support colleagues while fostering a customer-focused selling environment.
- Passion for connecting with people and delivering service that builds loyalty.
- Strong curiosity to understand retail strategies, analyze business trends, and execute plans that drive results.
- Willingness to test new ideas, embrace change, and thrive in a busy environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting at least 30 lbs, constant moving, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
