About the role#
The Store Management Internship is an 8-week, paid, on-site program designed to provide exposure to the operations of a retail department store. Interns will gain experience in customer service, merchandising, business analysis, visual presentation, store operations, colleague development, human resources, and asset protection. Upon successful completion, participants may be considered for the Store Management Executive Development Program (EDP) following graduation.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales & Customer Experience to learn leadership best practices and receive constructive feedback.
- Shadow the Managers of Operations and Visual Merchandising to plan and execute merchandising initiatives.
- Develop a customer-focused selling environment by coaching and training team members.
- Analyze business trends with partners to select merchandise that aligns with customer needs.
- Support daily store operations and explore analytical strategies to understand the retail business.
- Complete a project and presentation, consulting with store leadership to propose ideas for business growth.
What you'll need#
- Currently in your junior year of a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited university.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- All majors are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a self-motivated, results-driven approach.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the role, including sitting, talking, hearing, using hands to handle objects, and occasional movement around the workplace.
