About the role#
The Store Management Internship is an 8-week paid, on-site program providing exposure to the core functions of retail leadership. Interns gain experience in customer service, merchandising, business analysis, visual presentation, store operations, and colleague development. You will work within a store leadership team to learn the complexities of managing a multi-million-dollar department store.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales & Customer Experience to learn leadership best practices and receive ongoing feedback.
- Shadow the Managers of Operations and Visual Merchandising to plan and execute merchandising initiatives.
- Support daily store operations by training and coaching colleagues to ensure smooth execution.
- Analyze business trends with partners to select merchandise that meets customer needs.
- Develop and present a project to store leadership that proposes strategies for business growth.
- Engage with leaders across store and regional functions to broaden your understanding of retail strategies.
What you'll need#
- Status as a rising senior in an accredited undergraduate program with one year remaining.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to inspire, coach, and support colleagues while fostering a customer-focused environment.
- Curiosity and capability to analyze business trends and execute plans that drive results.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting at least 30 lbs, climbing ladders, and remaining in a stationary position for extended periods.
