About the role#
The Store Management Internship is an 8-week, paid, on-site program designed to provide exposure to the operations of a retail department store. Interns gain experience in customer service, merchandising, business analysis, visual presentation, store operations, colleague development, human resources, and asset protection. The program runs from June 8 through August 1, 2026. Successful completion of the internship may lead to an offer for the Store Management Executive Development Program (EDP) following graduation.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales & Customer Experience to learn leadership best practices and receive constructive feedback.
- Shadow Managers of Operations and Visual Merchandising to plan and execute product merchandising initiatives.
- Analyze business trends with partners to select merchandise that aligns with customer needs.
- Develop a customer-focused environment by coaching and training team members.
- Engage with leadership across various business functions within the store and region.
- Explore retail strategies and demonstrate learning through a project and presentation proposing ideas for business growth.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior working toward a bachelor’s degree at an accredited university.
- A cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.
- All majors are considered for this position.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive, self-motivated attitude and drive results.
- Physical ability to sit, talk, hear, use hands to handle objects, and move about the workplace as needed.
