About the role#
The Store Management Internship is an 8-week, paid, on-site program designed to provide exposure to the operations of a retail department store. Interns gain experience in customer service, merchandising, business analysis, visual presentation, and colleague development. Upon successful completion, interns may be considered for the Store Management Executive Development Program (EDP) following graduation.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales & Customer Experience to learn leadership best practices and receive constructive feedback.
- Shadow Managers of Operations and Visual Merchandising to plan and execute product merchandising initiatives.
- Analyze business trends with partners to select merchandise that meets customer needs.
- Develop a customer-focused environment by coaching and training team members.
- Complete a project and presentation, consulting with store leadership to propose ideas for business growth.
What you'll need#
- Currently in your junior year of an accredited bachelor’s degree program.
- A cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.
- All majors are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A self-motivated, positive, and results-driven approach.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, talking, hearing, and using hands to handle or feel objects, with occasional movement around the workplace.
