About the role#
As a Game Economy Design Intern, you will learn how systems, resources, and progression combine to create a balanced player experience. You will work alongside our Design and Product teams to understand how data, player behaviour, and design principles improve the economies of our mobile games.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the design and balancing of game economy and progression systems.
- Analyze resources, rewards, and progression loops.
- Use data to understand player behaviour and progression.
- Build models and simulations to test balancing scenarios.
- Research competitor games and market trends in the free-to-play space.
- Configure and monitor content, events, and features.
- Collaborate with Design, Product, Data, and Development teams.
- Make recommendations based on your analysis and observations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Sciences, Data Analytics, or a related program.
- Strong interest in game design, progression systems, and free-to-play games.
- Comfort working with numbers and solving problems.
- Good knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
- Curiosity about player behaviour and how game systems shape the player experience.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to communicate ideas clearly.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, or data visualization tools is an asset.
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
