About the role#
As a Strategic Sourcing Intern at Lowe's, you will gain experience in how a large company sources, negotiates, and manages supplier relationships. You will work with procurement leaders to develop strategies that optimize cost, quality, and supply for products and services. This role involves analyzing supplier proposals and supporting category strategies to help drive business decisions.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development and execution of sourcing strategies across multiple categories.
- Conduct supplier research and analyze market trends to support decision-making.
- Evaluate supplier proposals and participate in negotiations to drive cost savings and value.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
- Support contract management activities, including compliance tracking and performance reporting.
- Gain exposure to supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives within sourcing.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- A 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and data analysis tools.
- Financial acumen and the ability to discuss numerical data.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Comfort communicating with a variety of people.
- Experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization is preferred.
- Relevant internship experience in project management, supply chain, finance, or procurement is a plus.

- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Mooresville, North Carolina.
- The program runs during the Summer of 2027.
