About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will join engineering teams to solve technology challenges that impact our customers and associates. You will work on scalable systems, build user experiences, and contribute to software solutions for our retail operations. This is a full-time, paid summer internship based at our Charlotte technology hub. Successful completion of the program may lead to a full-time, entry-level position within our rotational Launchpad program after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Build and enhance software applications within agile development teams.
- Develop and test clean, reliable code using languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Collaborate with UX, product, and data teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Learn software development lifecycle best practices in an enterprise environment.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and gain hands-on experience with cloud platforms and DevOps tools.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Exposure to software engineering projects through coursework or previous internships.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization.
