About the role#
The Health, Physical Education, and Recreation (HPER) Department at Lorain County Community College is looking for student employees to serve as Welcome Desk Attendants. This role acts as the primary point of contact for students, staff, and community members using HPER facilities. You will collaborate with staff to support daily operations and provide a professional experience for all participants.
What you'll do#
- Greet participants and manage check-in and check-out logs.
- Answer general questions and assist with membership sign-ups.
- Set up and break down equipment for rentals, athletic events, and classes.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of HPER facilities, including performing laundry duties.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Currently enrolled at Lorain County Community College with at least 6.0 credit hours.
- Minimum GPA of 2.0.
- Ability to lift at least 30 pounds.
- Basic CPR certification (must be obtained upon employment if not already held).
- Punctuality, attention to detail, computer literacy, and professional phone etiquette.
