About the role#
This position supports the maintenance of the Lorain County Community College student garden plot located at Baumhart Berry Farm. The role involves hands-on agricultural tasks and requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions during the summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Water, weed, and harvest crops throughout the growing season.
- Maintain raised garden beds.
- Monitor and report issues regarding deer fencing or general garden needs.
- Assist with additional garden-related tasks as assigned.
- Work approximately two days per week during the farm's regular operating hours.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Lorain County Community College.
- Reliable transportation to Baumhart Berry Farm in Vermilion, Ohio.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to report issues or concerns.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Interest in gardening and comfort performing physical outdoor work.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
