About the role#
The Sustainable Agriculture Program (SAGR) Student Ambassador supports a cross-campus academic partnership between Lorain County Community College and Oberlin College’s Food Studies Program. This role is responsible for welcoming students, promoting sustainable agriculture and food justice opportunities, and assisting with program outreach.
What you'll do#
- Assist the SAGR Program Coordinator and Enrollment Coordinator with student orientation.
- Welcome and support students exploring sustainable food pathways.
- Promote sustainable agriculture and food justice opportunities on campus.
- Collaborate with student leaders and faculty across institutions.
- Help peers navigate LCCC campus resources.
- Distribute outreach materials and build program visibility.
- Share feedback to strengthen and grow the initiative.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an LCCC student in good academic standing.
- Passion for food systems, justice, sustainability, agriculture, history, or culture.
- Strong communication skills with an interest in engaging peers and interactive learning.
- Ability to work as part of a team, take initiative, and remain organized and reliable.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Part-time, paid position.
