About the role#
The Advocacy and Resource Center (ARC) provides personal support and assistance to help students succeed in college. This includes the operation of the Commodore Cupboard, a food pantry serving students and the community. We are seeking student workers to support both the office and the food pantry.
What you'll do#
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors.
- Welcome visitors, register them, and assist them in accessing services.
- Perform office duties including answering phones and making copies.
- Assist with campus events, cleaning, and stocking items.
- Manage data entry tasks while maintaining strict confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- Eligibility to participate in Federal Work-Study.
- Enrollment in at least six credit hours with a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
- Availability to work during the week.
- Reliability and the ability to be counted on by others.
- Sensitivity to issues regarding poverty and basic needs insecurity.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Prior experience in customer service is preferred but not required.
