Student Worker Advocacy and Resource Center

About the role#

The Advocacy and Resource Center (ARC) provides personal support and assistance to help students succeed in college. This includes operating the Commodore Cupboard, a food pantry serving students and the community. We are seeking student workers to support daily operations in both the ARC office and the food pantry.

What you'll do#

• Serve as the first point of contact for visitors by greeting clients, registering them, and helping them access services.
• Perform general office duties including answering phones, making copies, and maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Assist with campus events, cleaning, and stocking supplies.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in at least six credit hours with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA.
• Reliability and availability to work during the week.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Sensitivity to issues of poverty and basic needs insecurity.
• Eligibility to participate in Federal Work-Study is preferred.
• Previous experience in customer service is preferred but not required.
