About the role#
This position is open to current Lipscomb University students. It is a paid, on-site student worker opportunity with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Teach multiple types of fitness classes or specific classes multiple times per week.
- Engage with students during fitness activities.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
- Assist in promoting fitness classes to the student body.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Lipscomb University.
- Certification in fitness instruction or a high level of experience in your area of expertise. Certification can be obtained through the Campus Recreation department as part of training.
- Ability to commit to teaching at least two classes per week.
- Willingness to complete a one semester trial period if introducing a new style of class.
- Preferred majors include Kinesiology, Health Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, and Nutrition.
