About the role#
Partnership Academy invites volunteers and student teachers to join our school community in Richfield. You will work alongside staff to support students from preschool through 8th grade. This role focuses on building relationships and providing hands-on support in a collaborative classroom environment. Please note that this is an unpaid, part-time position.
What you'll do#
- Assist classroom teachers with daily instruction and lesson delivery.
- Provide academic support to students in small groups or one-on-one settings.
- Help with classroom management, operations, and the organization of materials.
- Supervise students during transitions, recess, and lunch.
- Participate in school-wide routines and culture-building activities.
- Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and school policy.
- For student teachers, co-plan and co-teach lessons under the guidance of a licensed mentor.
What you'll need#
- A consistent, agreed-upon schedule for the duration of your placement.
- Successful completion of a background check before starting.
- Enrollment in an approved teacher preparation or licensure program is required for student teachers.
- Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse students is preferred.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
