About the role#
Lipscomb Academy is hiring Federal Work Study students to serve as tutors at J.T. Moore Middle School. You will work directly with middle school students to support their academic growth through individual sessions, after-school programs, and in-class assistance. This role allows you to gain experience in a classroom setting while working a flexible schedule that fits your university classes.
What you'll do#
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions during the school day.
- Identify academic needs and create personalized plans for students.
- Help students understand concepts, complete assignments, and prepare for exams.
- Organize and lead after-school tutoring for small groups or individuals.
- Track student progress and share feedback with teachers and families.
- Support teachers during lessons by assisting with classroom activities and projects.
- Collaborate with school staff to implement learning strategies and interventions.

- You must be a current or incoming Lipscomb University student.
- You must be Federal Work Study eligible.
