About the role#
The Shared Services Intern will gain a complete picture of central support functions at Limbach. You will provide hands-on support across core business processes, administrative operations, and cross-departmental projects. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Shadow core workflows including accounting, billing, collections, and purchasing to understand company operations.
- Analyze daily processes to find communication gaps, workflow friction, and efficiency opportunities.
- Support business goals by gathering data, tracking progress, and delivering outcomes.
- Create process documentation, user guides, and reference tools.
- Use ViewPoint and Open Envoy software for daily financial and administrative tasks.
- Partner with department managers to set project roadmaps and track weekly deliverables.
- Present a final capstone presentation to leadership covering project insights and operational impacts.
- Build your professional network through mentorship and informational interviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program focusing on Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Junior or Senior status is preferred.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new business systems.
- Basic knowledge of GAAP principles is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Tampa, Florida.
- The position is a rolling term internship.
- No travel is required.
