About the role#
As a Student Radiology Tech, you will gain hands-on experience in a clinical environment, contributing to the diagnostic imaging needs of a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatric patients. This role is based at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine diagnostic imaging studies as needed.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of human anatomy, radiographic positioning, and imaging equipment.
- Apply professional knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation safety, and infection control to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
- Communicate clearly with patients to explain testing procedures and help relieve anxiety.
- Maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment.
- Ensure patient examinations are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Diploma, or Associate Degree program in Radiologic Technology (verification required).
- Valid BLS certification.
- Ability to work a varied schedule.
