Merchandising Product Design Admin Intern

About the role#

The Merchandising Product Design Admin Intern for the Miles Hard Goods Division supports the process of bringing home decor products from concept to reality. This role involves working with creative and merchandising teams to gain hands-on experience in trend research, product development, and design coordination. It is a full-time, paid position designed for students or recent graduates interested in lifestyle fashion and design aesthetics.

What you'll do#

• Research current home decor trends, source inspiration, and assist with seasonal mood boards and color palettes.
• Support the product development lifecycle by organizing design sketches, updating style sheets, and tracking material selections.
• Manage the logistics of product and decor samples, including unpacking prototypes, labeling, and tracking approvals.
• Assist in tracking product artwork timelines and gathering commercial packaging details.
• Prepare product specifications, visual presentation boards, and materials for client meetings.
• Facilitate communication between local creative teams, overseas development offices, and vendors.

What you'll need#

• Current undergraduate student or recent graduate in Merchandising, Interior Design, Fashion, Product Development, Marketing, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, Media Studies, or a related field.
• A strong eye for home decor trends, color, and textile aesthetics.
• Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva is a plus.
