About the role#
The Merchandising Product Design Admin Intern supports the Miles Hard Goods Division in bringing home decor products from concept to reality. This role provides hands-on experience in trend research, product development, and creative operations. It is designed for a proactive individual looking to gain experience in lifestyle fashion and design aesthetics.
What you'll do#
- Assist the merchandising team in researching current home decor trends, including sourcing inspiration and preparing mood boards.
- Support the product development lifecycle by organizing design sketches and tracking material selections.
- Coordinate the logistics of product and decor samples, including unpacking, styling, and tracking approvals.
- Assist in tracking product artwork timelines and gathering packaging details.
- Help organize and prepare product specifications and visual materials for client meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student or recent graduate in Merchandising, Interior Design, Fashion, Product Development, or a related creative field.
- A strong eye for home decor trends, color, and textile aesthetics.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt quickly in a creative environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity in design software like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva considered a plus.
