About the role#
We are looking for an IT Support Co-op or Intern to join our team in Oakville. This role is for a student who wants to build practical experience with day-to-day IT operations in a business environment. You will work directly with employees and gain exposure to various IT systems and technologies.
What you'll do#
- Set up computers, equipment, and user accounts for new hires.
- Provide technical support for password resets, access issues, and hardware or software troubleshooting.
- Assist with IT equipment and inventory management, including the configuration of laptops, monitors, and phones.
- Maintain accurate IT records and documentation.
- Troubleshoot routine issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
- Support additional IT projects and initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program for IT, Computer Systems, Networking, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of IT support and troubleshooting.
- Comfort working with hardware, software, and common business applications.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- A patient, customer-focused approach when helping users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple requests, and stay organized.
- Previous technical or help desk experience is an asset.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Oakville, Ontario.
- This is a full-time, paid role with a rolling term.
- Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
