About the role#
Leerink Partners is hiring an Equity Research Intern for a ten-week summer program in New York. This role supports our research team as they focus on the healthcare sector. You will work alongside full-time professionals to gain hands-on experience in investment research.
What you'll do#
- Collect and evaluate statistical and financial data related to the healthcare industry and broader financial markets.
- Research common stocks and synthesize data to identify trends and business opportunities.
- Build and maintain financial statement models, including revenue forecasts and balance sheets.
- Prepare reports, investment recommendations, and statistical summaries.
- Observe interviews with company executives and industry leaders to gather information.
- Manage company databases using spreadsheet and database software.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a junior pursuing an undergraduate degree with a graduation year of 2028.
- You must be eligible for a potential full-time role starting in July 2028.
- You have experience building pro forma financial models.
- You can synthesize complex data and communicate findings through clear writing and presentations.
- You hold a strong interest in the stock market and healthcare equity research.
- Academic or professional exposure to the healthcare industry is preferred.
- Preferred majors include Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
