About the role#
Fireclay Partners is hiring a Summer 2027 Investment Banking Analyst. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Kansas City, Missouri. You will work directly with our team on M&A transactions and gain exposure to the daily operations of our firm.
What you'll do#
- Create market and business analyses for M&A deals.
- Prepare company valuations using various methods.
- Build pitch materials, info memos, buyer lists, and data rooms.
- Conduct database and market research.
- Use approved AI tools to research, organize information, and refine written materials.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your work. You must verify all facts, calculations, and assumptions produced by AI tools. You must also follow all firm data-handling and confidentiality rules.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Finance or Accounting major.
- An outstanding academic record.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and a focus on detail.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team.
- A practical understanding of how to use AI in a professional setting, including how to structure research tasks and refine prompts.
