About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work with Purina Animal Nutrition Retail Operations Managers to support sales efforts for national retailers and regional farm and ranch accounts. The role requires significant travel, as you will visit top accounts to learn sales strategy and manage projects within your assigned territory.
What you'll do#
- Visit top accounts and participate in sales calls.
- Execute projects to promote Purina products.
- Generate sales with national and regional retail partners.
- Assist with market analysis and research to support business goals.
- Manage your time to prioritize and implement assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with team members, give and receive feedback, and adapt to changing business needs.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor degree in animal science, agriculture, or business. Junior or senior status is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time. You must live near an airport.
- Valid, unrestricted driver license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk on uneven ground.
- Strong communication, writing, and critical thinking skills.
- Previous sales experience is preferred.
- Ability to be resourceful and find solutions to problems.
Location & details#
- This role is remote, with travel expected primarily across Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, and Tennessee.
- Internship duration is from May to August 2027.
