About the role#
This internship is a 10-week summer program designed to provide MBA students with hands-on experience in brand management. You will work on projects within our Dairy Foods or Animal Nutrition business units. This role serves as a pipeline for our full-time Associate Marketing Manager rotational program. You will receive mentorship throughout the summer and gain exposure to the broader Land O'Lakes enterprise.
What you'll do#
- Lead a business-critical project that involves strategic thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving.
- Deliver a final presentation of your project recommendations to marketing and business leaders.
- Build your professional network by connecting with the executive leadership team.
- Develop your professional skillset through direct engagement with your team.
- Potential project areas include market opportunity assessments, consumer insights, marketing mix strategies, pricing, distribution, promotions, trade strategies, competitive analysis, new product development, and brand strategy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a first-year MBA program with an expected graduation date in Spring or Summer 2028.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A strong sense of ownership and the ability to demonstrate leadership.
- A strong interest in brand management, general management, or marketing is preferred.
- Experience in consumer-packaged goods, food, or agricultural industries is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Arden Hills, Minnesota.
- Schedule: This is a full-time, 10-week summer internship occurring from June to August 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid work environment, with a requirement to be on-site in Arden Hills at least three days per week, specifically Tuesday through Thursday.
- Compensation: The salary for the 10-week internship is $18,800.
- Relocation assistance is provided for eligible candidates.
