About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for students pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. You will work on-site in Rochester, New York, on a rolling basis. The role follows a 9/80 schedule, where you work 80 hours over nine days and take every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with the design, fabrication, and assembly of prototype parts and mechanical systems.
- Create and update basic 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Support hands-on prototyping tasks such as 3D printing, component fit checks, and using basic hand tools.
- Conduct simple tests, record your results, and document design changes.
- Collaborate with your team to troubleshoot technical issues and explore design improvements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's, master's, or PhD program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field at an accredited university.
- Basic familiarity with CAD software.

- Location: Rochester, New York.
- Schedule: Full-time, 9/80 work week.
- Compensation: $22.50 to $41.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
