About the role#
This is a 12-month, full-time paid internship based in El Segundo, California. You will report to the Director of Communication and Engagement and work with the Corporate Affairs and Human Resources teams. The role focuses on supporting communication initiatives and strategic partnerships to enhance the company reputation on the West Coast.
What you'll do#
- Create and distribute internal communication materials like newsletters, emails, and digital signage.
- Support the planning and execution of internal and external events, including budget management and vendor coordination.
- Produce content for events and company initiatives.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop stories that align with brand values.
- Manage meeting agendas, track projects, and identify next steps.
- Lead special projects such as employee engagement, community insights, and culture building.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling and documentation.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor or Master degree in Communications, PR, or a similar field, received within the last 12 months.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMS, and SharePoint.
- Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Professionalism when interacting with senior management.
- A resourceful, positive approach with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
