Packaging R&D Co-op

About the role#

The Packaging R&D Co-op is a 6-month immersive program designed for undergraduate students to contribute to real-world projects within the food and beverage industry. You will work alongside a cohort of peers and Kraft Heinz leaders, taking ownership of projects that impact the business. The program concludes with a presentation of your project results to the North American R&D Leadership Team.

What you'll do#

• Manage projects across various stages of commercialization, including initiation, development, and launch.
• Develop hypotheses, plan and execute test and trial procedures, analyze data, and report findings to cross-functional teams.
• Work on initiatives related to innovation, renovation, sustainability, productivity, operational efficiency, and quality improvement.
• Actively pursue technical and business knowledge to understand the impact of your projects on the broader business.
• Travel to manufacturing facilities, supplier locations, and offsite trainings as required.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Engineering, or related fields.
• Current standing as a Junior or Senior during the co-op program.
• Ability to work effectively in office, lab, and manufacturing environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Interest in gaining experience within the food or consumer products industry.

Location & details#

• Locations: Glenview, Illinois or Warrendale, Pennsylvania.
• Work Modality: Hybrid (in-person at least three days per week).
• Status: Full-time, paid position.
• Note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
